    CrimCity, sorry if my previous post might have offended you. I think that you implied a few things differently than from what I meant.

    I love Holland. I'm proud of my country. I would never want to replace it with another country. In fact, I joined a British group of gamers to join UK's biggest gaming festival. The group has its own shirt. I ordered a shirt with my nickname on it and the text "Proud 2 be Dutch" in bright orange. I think you might now understand how much I love my country by just a bit :) But what I do not understand, how is the Triple A status related to this in any way? I wouldn't care if we had the lowest grade. It is only a grade. A grade is represantative but is not always matching reality.

    However, when I see a Dutch person speaking English I often would like them to shut up because both their accent and their grammar are so bad.

    And no, not being capable of speaking with a decent does not automaticly concludes into bad English. But that together with bad grammar and/or spelling does result into bad English.

    The big difference between you and me with just text is simple. People in The Netherlands will tend to trust me more because my Dutch would be more correct than yours as you do not care about grammar or spelling. And internationaly people will also tend to trust me more for the same reason. If would see a website written by you, I would probably leave due to the fact that there was no care of writing properly. It is annoying to read such texts and it makes me not care about such persons.

    I more have a feeling that you are the one being the ignorant, and not me ;) The markets are changing. English speakers are more and more wanted. ;)

    Victor, yes, tongval could be written as dialect in English. However, I think you meant the way we pronounce (uitspreken) things. I partly agree with you on that, this because of;

    From what I can tell we Dutch can easily learn and English and pronounce everything correctly after some practice. A lot of countries are unable to do so. For example English cannot pronounce our Dutch G.
    But on the opposite, compared to the rest of the world. We might have the most harsh language of them all. The tone we speak and the texts we use. A citizen from the United Kingdom might get offended when a Dutch person talks normaly.

    Those are the reasons of why I both agree and disagree with your statement.

    Hi,

    My study obligates her students to master at least the European B2 standard. However, this does not mean that the English of some students can be called "good".
    Especcialy the spoken fluency is terrible.

    Now, not everyone can enjoy bachelor degree or higher. A lot of students only reach out to college (MBO). There the required skill level is lower. Please do not mention that highschool should have given its students enough skill. Because I feel ashamed for my country that the English is so bad.

    Even though you enjoyd IBL, I can see mistakes in your post. ;)

    To give you a indication:
    Soon I will do a minor English. Also, on both my job it is required to talk English. At TomTom Taxi it is even the working language. And if I compare the Dutch speakers with people from abbroad, the Dutch their English really tend to fall behind.

    Btw, you might find typos. This was all writte on a cellphone.

    Tim: In Java staat de ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsExceptit het dichts bij de undefined index in PHP. Het compileert dan dus wel. Ook in Java kun je dit soort dingen flikken als je bijvoorbeeld JSP gebruikt, maar dat is niet helemaal relevant.

    Het aanpassen van de tekst naar een bepaalde lengte zou ik ook zeker niet in het model doen. Dat moet naar mijn mening gedaan worden in de controller of equivalent.

    Maar als je het op meerdere plekken wilt gebruiken is het toch handiger om het in de model op te nemen dan in verschillende controllers? (Indien MVC natuurlijk)

    Hallo,

    Welke variabele is undefined? En kunnen we de code ontvangen van waar die undefined is?
    Gaat meestal om een schoonheidsfout binnen PHP.

    Binnen talen als Java is dit uit den boze. Betekent dat de variabele niet geïnitialiseerd is.
    Het gaat er namelijk om dat bijv. $_GET['test'] gebruikt kan worden. Maar je weet niet of deze wel gevuld is. Het oplossen zit hem er dus in met dat je moet kijken of de variabele wel gevuld is.

    Hi,

    Victor, as you might have noticed I always end with "Mvg" in Dutch. In my opinion this equals "Yours sincerely". My e-mails also end like that.
    This all has to do with that I want to be professional. One way for me do achieve this is by being formal. In case I would write to English friends I indeed might use kind regards, which has my preference.

    Koen, at school I was also forced to create a SWOT. It is indeed very interesting, however what my school is doing wrong is that you need to check and update your SWOT regularly.
    Don't forget to do so!

    And on a different note:
    Just installed Windows 8 for 15 Euro. To get a 15 Euro discount is fairly easy. Simply get a promo code from Microsoft. This can been done by registering your computer at Microsoft as an after June the 2nd computer.

    Instalation went smoothly for me. However, the new start interface is far from user friendly for me. The flows are badly made. Also that you need to put your cursor in a corner is amazingly disturbing. It is clearly noticable that Windows 8 is far from compliant with three monitors.

    Hallo,

    Ja, fout is namelijk zeer basis. PHP variabelen mogen nooit met een cijfer beginnen.
    Verder raad ik je aan om nog wat php te leren, dit doordat je manier van werken erg omslachtig is ;) Nu zou je array's kunnen gebruiken en ipv "1" gewoon 1 doen en misschien een duidelijkere namen geven?

    Je kan desnoods een constante aanmaken per taal welke zich vertaald in een cijfer.

    - Lenovo (Weet hier niet veel van)
    - Samsung (Duurder maar goede kwaliteit)
    - VAIO (Duurder maar goede kwaliteit)
    - Fujitsu (Goedkoop en slecht)
    - Compaq (Weet hier niet veel van)
    - Asus (Doet het op alle fronten goed)
    - Toshiba (Redelijk, maar kwaliteit net niet)

    Is ook op basis van wat ik merk tijdens het repareren van computers op mijn werk :)
    Blijft persoonlijk iets.
